About the Event
The CSDE has adopted the Next Generation Personal Finance semester-course as its 9-12 model curricula. In these sessions, teachers will take a deeper dive into the NGPF units to analyze NGPF units and bring them to life. Teacher groups will tailor units and develop project-based learning activities and assessments, using the principles of universal design to ensure equitable student access and maximize student engagement.
Teachers will also share their implementation and adaptation strategies and share their successes and challenges.
Thursday, August 22: Session 1 - Behavioral Economics, Banking and Investing (Units 1-3) (Location: EdAdvance, Litchfield)
Thursday, September 19: Session 2:-Types of Credit & Managing Credit (Units 4-5) - (Location: WorkspaceCT, Bethel)
Wednesday, October 16: Session 3 -Paying for College & Careers (Units 6-7) (Location: EdAdvance, Litchfield)
Tuesday, November 26: Session 4: - nsurance, Taxes, Budgeting & Consumer Skills. (Units 8-11) (Location: WorkspaceCT, Bethel)
Payment can be made via credit card or via school PO. If paying by PO, please have your PO number ready.
