About the Event
Session 4 meets on Aug 21st, 23rd, & 24th from 11:30 am to 12:20 am. This is a collaborative program utilizing music, movement, and sensory learning. The program was designed by Elizabeth Meyer-Gross, an OT professional, to teach the life cycle of the butterfly through her original song and hands-on activities. The class will include a parent introduction on pencil control, a science topic discussion, a craft, and teaching the song “Little Baby Caterpillar” with hand and body movements with a focus on body awareness, coordination, and the use of finger and hand muscles. Each week the science topic will change; here is our topic schedule:
July Session 1: Life Cycle of the Butterfly
July Session 2: Bees & Honey
August Session 1: Flowers & Plants
August Session 2: Woodland Creatures
Children are required to be restroom trained for this event.
You may register for this event as part of the half-day program for ages 4 and up. The half-day program will include Kindergarten Prep! Learning how to Write and Draw with Miss Elizabeth, Little Baby Caterpillar Teaches Science, and Beginning Piano Summer Session. Register for all 3 and receive a discount!
